I had a virtually identical setup on my Armageddon, the only difference being I had a DCU II instead of the second 1600mm plate. I never really noticed any problems with fitting, though, unless I was trying to fit beams. Practically speaking tho...

You're probably better off running level 2s (and level 1s for that matter) in a cruiser, and keeping the destroyer as a dedicated salvage ship with 4 salvagers and 4 tractor beams. A destroyer will struggle on many level 2s, especially if it's not...
